The Skillet Lickers are heading out-of-state as they announce the latest show in their annual Fall Tour, by far the band’s busiest time of the year. Today, the band announced that they would be heading to the Charlotte, NC area for a special show at the world-famous Don Gibson Theater in Shelby on Saturday, November 18th. The show will mark the band’s second appearance in the Tarheel State this year, after being inducted into the Blue Ridge Music Hall of Fame (Wilkesboro) in June.
“We’re so glad to be heading back to North Carolina… the crowd was amazing in Wilkesboro, we had such a fun time and we can’t wait to do it again in Shelby at the world-famous Don Gibson Theater. It’s going to be a really fun time,” says Russ Tanner.
Interestingly enough, the band was actually inducted into the Blue Ridge Music Hall of Fame alongside the late Don Gibson in June. “It’s pretty cool to go into the Hall with Don Gibson and to perform at the Don Gibson Theater just a few months later,” Russ continued.
More details on the show will be announced soon, but for now, fans in Shelby and around the Queen City area can mark their calendars for an unforgettable show unlike any other on Saturday, November 18th.
