The Skillet Lickers, one of Country music’s most storied groups, are heading back to one of North Georgia’s most storied venues – the historic Union County Courthouse in Blairsville, Georgia on Friday, October 27th. The historic courthouse, located in downtown Blairsville, is a venue that the Skillet Lickers have performed in (almost annually) since the days of Gid Tanner.
“It’s always a treat to play at the Blairsville Courthouse, because it really brings things full circle for us. To be able to perform in a venue that Gid performed in decades ago, and still pack it out year-after-year means a lot to us,” says Russ Tanner.
The Courthouse is typically filled to capacity every year for the free show, so the Skillet Lickers encourage you to arrive early for prime seating. “It’s such a beautiful, historic courthouse in such a beautiful town… especially in the fall. It doesn’t get any better than performing in downtown Blairsville on a Friday night in October,” Russ added.
The show is free and is anticipated to begin at 7 p.m.
