Just one week from today, the Skillet Lickers will launch their 2017 ‘Music Night’ series, a series that relaunched in late 2016, after over two years without a concert at their state-of-the-art amphitheater in Dacula. This year, however, the local, historic band is planning multiple shows at the location, including two within the next five weeks. The first show will take place next weekend, on Saturday, April 29th at 7pm as the Skillet Lickers welcome traditional Country sensation, Teea Goans, from Nashville.
The band describes Teea as “one of the purest young voices out of Nashville today”. Country music fans will know Teea from her frequent performances on the Grand Ole Opry, as well as TV shows such as ‘Larry’s Country Diner’ and ‘Country’s Family Reunion’. She is described as THE voice when it comes to her traditional brand of Country. Fans of classic country will be amazed by her classic covers and her original material, as she works to put the country back in country music.
The show will take place at the band’s amphitheater in Dacula on Saturday, April 29th at 7pm. Tickets for the show are only $10 and the band is encouraging fans to buy in advance, as they are expecting a big crowd for the show. (You can click here to purchase tickets.) Food vendors will also be on-site, serving up delicious barbecue, cold drinks, and shaved ice! A free raffle will also take place, as they will be giving away Braves tickets, concert tickets, CD’s, and t-shirts.
Dacula’s own Skillet Lickers will open the show, followed by a brief intermission, and then Teea will take to the stage at the newly-renovated amphitheater. “It’s going to be a great night, filled with tons of friends, food, fun, and of course, great music, at one of the best venues in North Georgia,” says Music Night director, Josh Tanner.
