Country music’s longest running band, the Skillet Lickers, are set for another exciting weekend in their much-anticipated 2016 Fall Tour. The tour, which boasts over 20 shows across the state of Georgia, will make five stops this weekend (September 29 – October 2) alone.
The group, which is currently starring in 16 showings of the hit musical production, ‘Smoke on the Mountain’, will provide music for the show at 8pm on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night at the historic Cumming Playhouse in Cumming, GA. They’ll also be taking part in a 3pm matinee on Sunday.
They’ll be making another stop in the North Atlanta metro area on Saturday afternoon at the historic Elisha Winn Fair in Dacula – the hometown of the legendary Gid Tanner. The Elisha Winn Fair has been an event in which the Skillet Lickers have taken part in for decades. With historic buildings and artifacts from North Georgia’s rich history on display, along with delicious festival food (and great music from the Skillet Lickers), this event is a can’t miss!
“There’s ample opportunities to catch the Skillet Lickers this weekend and we hope to see you out at one of our many shows,” says Russ Tanner, Skillet Licker fiddler.
